Ensemble Vermillian

Ensemble Vermillian was founded by sisters Barbara Blaker Krumdieck and Frances Blaker to explore the potential for color and texture possible in transcribing the virtuosic repertoire of the seventeenth and eighteenth century for recorder and cello. Based in Davidson, North Carolina, the members of EV have traveled to meet, research, rehearse and perform together since 2000. Having studied at conservatories in Denmark, the Netherlands, Ohio and Indiana, they blend their approach to the music to create a sound which inspired one audience member to write, “A beautiful performance. The chemistry between you is special.”
'Stolen Jewels' is Ensemble Vermillian's debut CD.

The lastest news is that the new Ensemble Vermillian CD, 'Stolen Jewels' , is available now. You can purchase it online here.

Clicking the link to purchase the CD online will open a new window that will take you to the Red Hawk Music website where you can order and pay for CD's online with your credit card or fill out a form to mail in and pay by check. 'Stolen Jewels' will also be available for download from Magnatune but you will not receive the beautiful liner notes that accompany this CD.
